The Potting Shed & The Shippen

Our two luxury huts have all the same features our Standard Huts, but with a few added extra’s!

These huts have been built by a brilliant company called Ashwood Shepherd Huts and are superbly crafted and designed. They have been designed with Families and slightly older clientele in mind. The reason behind the change was to provide 2 separate bunk beds so the kids can go up the stairs to bed and be separate from each other to provide a peaceful area for both to fall asleep. This also leaves the bigger King-size bed (at floor level) for the adults to retire to at a later time. They are also underfloor heated to that if you set the thermostat they will just maintain their temperature throughout your stay- with no lighting or the log burner unless you wish to’ cosy up’ by the fire!

These huts really do epitomise luxury glamping, relying only on the amenity block for the free hot showers in our new underfloor – heated facility. There is also a laundry facility coming into the new block soon for those who wish to stay longer or lead more active holidays where washing maybe essential requirement!


This is most definitely Glamping and not Camping!!

  • Inside the Huts

    The huts also have a washroom/ toilet room in the back of the hut which just means those annoying out of hours visits can be done in the comfort of your own hut without having to walk to the campsite facilities in the rain!


    The bigger size of the new huts also means that you do not have to ‘Pack ‘ any beds away to utilise all of the living space. There is a separate sofa and kitchen area with dining table all ready to go as when needed, with the big double door leading out to the garden and outside dining area.

  • What We Provide

    We aim to provide for all of your needs, accommodating up to 4 overnight guests in each hut. It may be possible to add extra guests in special circumstances or if there are children in the group booking. Please phone to discuss the options for this. We do allow tents in the garden area free of charge if required, but there are extra charges for additional people in the group.


    The huts themselves come fully equipped with:


    • All the bed linen (luxurious 600 thread count Egyptian cotton) required for the beds, (supplied by the secret Linen company) and a hot water bottle!
    • Underfloor heating and a log burner (complete with all you need to get started!)
    • All the pots, pans, cutlery, glasses and cups for 4, with a few spares to ease the washing up!
    • Kettle, Toaster, Hob, sink, hot water, fridge and local information pack
    • Table and chairs for eating, both inside and out
    • Tea-towels. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate
    • Cleaning equipment/ washing up facilities
    • Garden and parking right outside, with breath-taking views
    • Electric plugs throughout and free wi-fi

    The new huts have hand-towels, for the en-suite toilet facility and outside chairs/ floor cushions to enjoy on the veranda. Hopefully all you need to enjoy your stay.


    We do not provide bathroom towels as the huts do not have bathroom facilities inside them so in order to avoid confusion we have left these out!
